About Trust And Oversight Desk

Trust And Oversight Desk is for parents navigating the difficult balance between protecting minor children and allowing them to develop independence. Its guides address families who want practical safeguards without treating privacy as something children must permanently surrender.

The site covers levels of parental oversight, warning signs that monitoring may be damaging trust, gradual restoration of privacy, research and wellbeing considerations, and decisions about stronger supervision. It also explains mSpy's stated capabilities and limitations in the context of responsible parental use.

The editorial aim is to help families and employers make informed, responsible decisions. Consent, transparency, proportionality, age-appropriate communication, and applicable local rules remain central to every discussion of device monitoring.

What you will find here

Trust And Oversight Desk publishes 5 guides about Balancing trust and oversight, among them A Levels Model of Oversight From Light to Heavy, Signs That Oversight Is Hurting Trust, Letting a Teen Earn Privacy Back.

Responsible use

mSpy is monitoring software meant for parents and guardians of minors and for employers who monitor company-owned devices with the employee's knowledge and consent. Monitoring another adult without their consent is illegal in many countries. Laws differ by country and state, so check the rules that apply to you before you install anything.

Talk openly with children about any monitoring in a way that suits their age, and give employees a written policy and notice before anything is monitored. Where a rule is unclear, ask a lawyer in your country.
